Isn't this similar to people who get a flu shot vs people who don't? Usually people who don't get a flu shot are the ones who could be in trouble if they get the flu...however plenty of people get a flu shot, still get the flu, plenty don't get it, dont get the flu.

I'm at the point where I don't care who gets this and who doesn't. My dad has had both his shots and that makes me feel better, my mom is waiting to get her 2nd as well shortly.

Life is open for you to do what you want at this point. Restaurants are open...people are going on vacation to other places...the choice is yours.

I do not get the flu shot, never have. Not comparable at all, the vaccines nor the illness. I still cannot go to a concert or a sporting event. Restaurants still aren't at full capacity. There's other things I "could" do, but won't until it's more certain that I won't be a spreader despite getting both shots. Between myself and the millions of others practicing similar, that's a lot of money being taken out of the economy.

Things aren't at full capacity necessarily but they are still available to go to if you want to.

You think that's a long term solution? These businesses (that have survived) are literally on life support now, as is much of the economy. I simply do not get this lack of urgency.

I dont think anyone is showing a lack of urgency...but it's something that can't be forced. The high risk/older people are getting vaccinated...we just have to wait. I don't think things are going to be 'normal' for quite some time.

Saying "I'm gonna wait and see" is the definition of a lack of urgency. Again not pointing at anybody in particular, but that seems to be a common sentiment among people who don't plan on signing up for it at this time.

"Israel vaccination 'green pass' may offer a glimpse of a post-Covid future"

"The green pass is authorized by Israel's Ministry of Health. It can be a physical document or downloaded to a person's phone, and will be required for activities like going to the gym, dining inside a restaurant at 75% capacity with a 100 person limit, attending a theater performance with up to 500 people indoors, or even a gathering in an event hall with up to 300 people."

Connecticut residents aged 45 and older will be eligible to schedule COVID-19 vaccinations beginning Friday and all residents aged 16 and older will become eligible on April 5.

Someone like myself is not waiting to see but i'm also not eligible/cannot get an appt at the moment. So it's a good thing I'm not feeling anxious/in a rush about it.

I'm not eager to get it. Not eligible either.

I feel I have to get it when I am eligible, but I am definitely uneasy about it. I'm really not ok with waiting around indoors for a half hour or so after getting it so they can monitor me.
