Why not look at the actual data instead of a news article?

From mass.gov during weekending 11/27:

Total cases.........................16,135
Breakthrough part of total......6,610

Total deaths.............................79
Breakthrough part of total..........34

Basically, if you haven't gotten a booster, you're not fully vaccinated. The CDC hasn't changed the definition of fully vaccinated...and they need to.
This. Part of Europe are changing the definition, Israel already has. As usual we are behind. In RI, the vast majority of the population received their shots by early June, so would need a booster now. Only about 150,000 have done so.

More concerning news. The community transmission Minnesota case had received a booster in early November. https://www.statnews.com/2021/12/02/...-transmission/ The two cases in Israel (one of whom transmitted to the other) had also been boosted. If boosters can't even prevent infection and symptoms this soon after the shot...for how long will they be effective against severe illness?

The vast majority of people have mild illness, so that demonstrates very little in itself. Except of course that the virus will mutate and spread regardless of what lilliputian humans believe they are capable of.

Mild illness? Try getting exposed to Delta as an unvaccinated person, and report back to us.

Is your argument that the majority of people exposed to COVID get severe illness? And are you arguing that the fact this person was vaccinated proves that the vaccine is the cause of said mild illness?

Getting tired of Covid. The debates, the arguments, the politics, etc.

Would be great if Omicorp turned out to be a very mild form of the disease that circulates widespread becoming the dominant strain, gives everyone immunity and Covid transitions into nothing more than a harmless cold.

Then we can move onto arguing about something else instead.

Amen. Then again, 2 yrs ago, I never thought that we'd not only argue but become polarized over a global health emergency. Hope we've learned a lesson in that regard too, for the next time this happens.
