I felt the same ...until my employer issued stock buy backs. At least they issued a Q2 bonus when making the announcement ... thanks.

My girlfriend took a 10% pay cut. Hospital holding company at the regional level. They’re getting crushed by this financially. She had to furlough half her staff across a bunch of hospitals. I don’t know how the rural and poor area hospitals are going to make it without huge bailouts. It’s unlikely most people will go to a hospital any time in 2020 for something elective.

My dental office called on Monday to reschedule a routine cleaning to October. I presume the small army of hygienists in that office are all unemployed for the summer.

There are people at my company who can’t work from home but can’t go to work. They are getting paid until the end of June. It sounds like they’re planning for these essential folks who need to be there physically to be back by then. I believe these are jobs like cafeteria workers, custodial positions, security, lab workers. I’m not sure who else it would include to be honest.

It's rough. My girlfriend has a 20% pay cut (firm wide) that goes into effect next week (with reduced hours). She's lucky - 10% of her firm has been furloughed for going on 8 weeks now, and they already dropped annual bonus and raises (which are normally awarded until may). The CEO today indicated that this may be the case through the end of the calendar year.

128 new deaths and 1045 new cases.

Increased quite a bit today compared to the last few days.

This has been covered, Wednesdays are higher due to a reporting anomaly from the weekend. Compared to last Wednesday we are in good shape as is the trajectory over the course of the past week. A single day does not represent anything, especially a Wednesday.

A little bit. The percent positive was 14% vs. 10% yesterday. But overall, the 7-day % positive trend actually went down. Hospitalizations decreased as well.

Ah that’s right. I thought Wednesday was the high day after I wrote that.

I think the dentist thing is One Nationwide. State chapters of the Ada are going to be more apt to tell you the details of that. My girlfriend just received an email that they don't have enough PPEs function so it's just not happening.

from what I've been reading is that those that talked for a long time can spread it. I can't think of another profession where we tell people that open their mouths for such a long period of time.

I'll disagree with one point--the elective surgeries are already starting to take place..
