But people want to be able to pay their bills and not end up in dept or have a completely stressful life because they’re trying to work and take care of kids. As I said before I only have 2 kids who are young. I can’t imagine how parents who have 3 or 4 who have to work are dealing. I think the other problem too is the unknown. We’ve already had school closed for the spring so we know what that’s like. Now there’s talk of it being closed in the fall? Or all next year ? I think people just want answers.
How many people have 3 or 4 kids these days? I thought families for the most part shrunk down to 1 or 2 kids starting as far back as the 1990s.

I don't know many. If any.

People want answers. Sometimes there aren't answers and we just have to live life on life's terms.

At this point I’d just like to know what will happen.
How would you like to be told that maybe you should have thought of all this before you had multiple kids?

I am prepared to do what needs to be done. I just want to know what will be happening.

We could debate this all day. Do people really think schools will not be open in the fall in MA?

And a woman a few streets over from me has 6 kids. She’s an ob gyn who is not working right now. I also know of two teachers who have 5 kids. Neither of them work now either. I’m surprised you all don’t know anyone who has no more than 2 kids?

I was actually wondering if this whole pandemic might deter people from having more kids or having any kids. I think in the beginning people joked about quarantine babies... they’ll probably still be had but by people who shouldn’t be having them.

LAUSD, the second biggest school district in the country, just announced they will be starting online in the fall. I think it would be prudent for at least eastern Mass to do the same.

Every time that someone tests positive, there's a good chance the whole school will have to close anyway.

Well if kids have to stay home because their kids can’t go to schools it will be all the more reason for companies to allow people to stay home.

I already see people at my last company based in Cambridge who don’t even have kids moving to places like VT and NH saying thank to so and so company for letting me work remote. The longer kids don’t go back to school the longer people will not be able to return to the office.

In a few months we'll probably hear about "covid babies". What's that going to be like? Birth defects?

The more we learn about this virus, the clearer it's becoming that it's probably not safe to be indoors in any type of work or school setting.

You are not the only one for many reasons. No one is denying you the answers. There aren't any answers. No one know what in the world to do for a reasonable opening or not. No one knows. It's worse than trying to solve Mideast peace. There just might not be an answer, yet something has to be decided. No one knows.
