Nope. They're just encouraging you, as usual, to practice some self awareness. Complaining about others doing what we do ourselves is the height of lack of self awareness. That's all. No one is really condemning you for going.

A one day vacation in a home I basically own. I learn so many new things here

The ones who must be really irritated are the locals.
Everybody needs to exercise their best judgement, and not worry about what others are doing. You don't have any more right to be there than they do, I mean how do you know all these other people don't own their own homes there as well (or have family)? Now as of tomorrow when those from high risk states are now required to quarantine, the whole game changes and that's a whole different story.

You are a random person having unsafe vacations too, you know. Unless you all are getting tested each week. Are you?

Ok so what would your attitude towards the locals on
The cape be? That they should all stay inside and rarely come
Out because of the vacation going partiers? I’m sure they wish there weren’t so many people
Coming there from all over. Kind of like what I’m saying.

Guys--please lighten up on folks going to the Cape (disclaimer: I'm NOT one of them). The issue is not them going there, as long as they don't indulge in any of the risky behaviors known to increase spread (large gatherings especially indoors, no masks, no social distancing). Baker specifically honed in on such gatherings today as the culprit for the dramatic case increase (300+, each of the last 3 days).

Go to the Cape, but stay isolated in your vacation home or B&B. No harm done.

Even going to the beach is ok. Any COVID spread there has been because of parties. But with one of the parties apparently the COVID was spread by an out of stater.

So the numbers are over 300 for 2 days (one of them was a 'catch up', wasnt it?) and a lot of people are getting more comfortable/lax in this weather, beaches etc....

Our family went to Nauset mid week. No masks for anyone but everyone kept their distances. We werent entirely 'comfortable' but hada good time. We didnt go to one of those beaches that were packed (we would NOT choose that).

But at some point, these numbers will creep up and things get worse. Our school system (like everyones) is planning for the fall, and we're deciding (polling) full remote or 50/50. My soon to be senior in HS wants remote - she doesnt feel safe in school. Cannot argue with that.

Simmons is going back to campus (for kids with clinicals) but fully online classes (daughter got her clinical at B&W, which is close and nice - but as parents we are worried).

So is going to the Wequassett and then complaining about how crowded it was staying isolated?
