K-12 online learning (younger grades especially, but this applies through graduation) is a crazy idea and will (hopefully) never happen on a permanent basis.

No idea about? Your personal situation is clouding your judgment.

This article published in the New Yorker tells how China and its universities dealt with the virus from the point of view of a visiting American scholar. It is a long article so leave some time to read it but the article offers tremendous insight on how another nation with a much different society handled the virus.

Here's a parent I'd like to punch. Complaining that her snowflake got wet because the windows were open a bus to help the flow of germs. Here's an idea- drive them yourself or keep them home.

'No idea about? Your personal situation is clouding your judgment.'

Yes you have no idea what it's like to have a 4 and 6 year old home while working from home. Capisce?

This is only true in absolute numbers. However, if you test more and the positivity % increases, that means we're not testing enough! And that's exactly what the case is now.

Oh, and how does more testing explain an increase in deaths and hospitalizations?

Irrelevant. It's like a restaurant owner who insists on having indoor dining telling me I have no idea about running a restaurant when I say indoor dining isn't safe and must not continue.

Believe it or not, I get it. It's a terrible situation to be in. But that doesn't mean you can act irresponsibly and recklessly.

No one is! We're not going trick or treating tonight. You're really starting to irritate me. Parents hoping school opens is NOT acting recklessly. LEARN the difference!

Times are tough for everyone. As I said before, my daughter is a teacher. She teaches autistic children. She has to change her PPE, several times a day. Make sure the children social distance, not touch other children`s things, feed them, change their soiled clothing, and do reports about her childern, and what they learn that day. So be thankful, for what you do have.
