Fox News talking point, I guess they're achieving their objectives!

But seriously, if you're going to make this point, you should look at all the "undiagnosed" and therefore underreported COVID-19 estimates also. Questioning and politicizing death toll numbers is extremely counterproductive when the focus should be on how to get past this surge, and plan for the future.

Drew Pinsky is a fraud and always has been. I have no idea why anyone would take anything he says seriously https://www.nickiswift.com/26338/ske...ryone-ignores/

Because it IS working. Look at the places that have practiced it vs. the places that have not, then get back to us.

People are socially distancing on the holidays??? Certainly news to me!

No we are not in "lock down". You have no idea what that looks like. And those 33K cases a day were contracted over a week (possibly 2 or 3 weeks) ago. You really don't know that?

Again, there is no lock down. No need to wear masks and gloves alone and in your own home.

You said this 10 days ago:

No offense but your credibility is not exactly running on the high octane stuff right now.

This is a new virus.

Epidemiological models, by nature and design, are constantly evolving and are modified as data becomes available, and as we increase our understanding of the infectivity, lethality, treatment success, spread, persistence, population dynamics and many, many other contributing factors.

There are no politics here and i dont watch fox news. I get my news from alternative media.

ya lets talk about the undiagnosed and unnderreported cases which proves so many people are asymptomatic that the death rate for this virus for people who get it is alot lower. look the chances of you getting corona virus is not that high. its a 100 percent gaurentee that if the goverment keeps preventing buisnesses from operating people will not be able to feed their kids. it will cause an extreme increase in homelessness. with poverty comes death. we have to way the risks. I am not saying there should be no reguloations but my idea is the best.

you have all the people who can work from home work from home. you pratice social distancing when you can but you have any buisness to be open that wants too. if you dont want to take the risk and you think you might be compromised stay home. open resturaunts and barber shops. I would even let there be restrictions on how many in a restaurant but the point is people would still be able to eat at the restaurant or buisness and let the buisness still function without going belly up.

then why give any predictions to begin with? Dr Fauci could of just said we dont know how serious this is yet.

I have a soft spot for Dr. Drew because he worked at the mental hospital where they’d seen the unusually large percentage of kids from my college that needed to go to a mental hospital. Pre celebrity-rehab Dr. Drew was absolutely a serious addiction medicine specialist. Too many years of surrounding himself with non-doctor celebrities has clearly convinced him he knows about stuff (like epidemiology) where he should absolutely keep his mouth shut.

It’s almost like watching the tv forecast for a big blizzard to see how much snow and how strong the winds are. The meteorologist is gonna try to predict I presume for everyone to prepare accordingly. They are probably gonna be off initially, but adjust their forecast based on the latest images. Can you imagine watching tv and they say a blizzard is coming but sorry we are not gonna tell you how much snow we are gonna get or wind gusts, not even an estimate. Other than reaching for the Farmer’s almanac, its probably our best option.

To scare people into listening to him.

In two to five years we will know exactly what was done wrong. It may turn out we under-reacted. Simply staying below projections isn’t really evidence we’ve overreacted.
