Go to https://www.sec.state.ma.us/wheredoi...kmyballot.aspx and see if there is a status update. At this point if you receive it I would strongly recommend placing it in your town/city's drop box to make sure it is counted. If it does not arrive by election day you will still be able to vote but unfortunately you will need to go in person.

You may be able to call the election department for your town and find out if there were any known issues with getting ballots out, but the site I linked will confirm whether you were sent a ballot and what day it was sent. Mine was mailed to me on 10/5 for instance.

What do you mean? If you're voting in-person, you get the ballot when you check in at your polling location.

All mail in ballots should now be submitted via the drop off boxes. I would not trust the USPS at this point. If you do not already have your mail in ballot, I would suggest you vote in person. You can do so via early voting or on election day.

My bad, I got confused. However when I check in at polling location, I remember that I need to show the election official a "voter information paper" that has my name on it. So far, I have not received this "voter information paper". Can I still go to vote with my driver license?

Massachusetts does not require id or a "voter information paper" to vote. If it is your first time voting in a federal election, they may ask you to show id. When did you register?

You shouldn't need to show anything. Not even your license. You probably got some kind of confirmation when you registered to vote initially, and you can look up your polling place online if you are not sure where it is. But when you get to the polling place, you will just tell one of the workers your name and address and that should be all that you need. You should not need to show anything additional. I can't remember if you need to sign the book they have, but you should not need any documents unless they do not have you listed on the voter rolls. If you have any problems, you can ask to vote with a provisional ballot.

Everybody should show ID when they vote.

In MA you effectively do since registration with your precinct requires some form of identification. Once registered, the state doesn’t see ID at polling stations as a benefit. No data supports the idea that impersonation is highly prevalent, and this is particularly true in MA where races tend to be less competitive post-primary.

Fraud isn’t zero and adding an ID requirement doesn’t get you there.

FYI - there is no day-of registration in MA. The window to register ended 10/24.
