I generally don't have a problem with folks who make significant contributions to society getting compensated handsomely. I'll take that anyday over a 20-something socialite getting rich of Tik-toc vids of them doing a Corn-Cob challenge.

So a Moderna Chief Scientist buying an $8mil home? You enjoy that home sir.

It doesn't work like that. Maybe Moderna's own employees or the very folks saved by their vaccine like watching Tik-toc socialites. In the end it's all about the arts (technology is transient).

Honestly, we cannot even logically conclude that all scientific and technological advancements have been for good. One could argue that it has been good for us humans (although I am not 100% sure) but the overall impact to the earth and its biodiversity is negative.

I think i was more so trying to point out the trickle down effect much of this booming wealth has created for others whose wealth doesn't come close to this.

I also think some of these people got pretty 'lucky' being in the right place at the right time and I'm not sure how much they actually had to do with the creation of these vaccines. There's someone on the article who i've exchanged a few emails with at work. If they were really behind the vaccine creation then they are wearing lot of hats.

I agree that they are deserving of it more than many others.

$600,000 for a 2 bed/2 bath condo in Marlborough: https://www.redfin.com/MA/Marlboroug...5fbnVtYmVyPTA=

Sure, it's a new-built luxury condo but still! Will be interesting to see what it eventually sells for.

So, just to be clear, you are telling him what he is and isn't allowed to like? The only judgement anyone can have is "how much money did thing X make as compared to think Y". If Jake Paul makes more "boxing" than the entire WNBA makes in a season, he is more worthy as an athlete than every female professional basketball player combined?

Also, the idea that "technology is transient" and "everything is about the arts" is a weird take. Everything is transient, but I personally owe a greater debt of gratitude to Jonas Salk than say Andy Warhol.

My point was that there is nothing wrong with Tik Tokers making money.

Yes there is- especially the nitwits who post outrageous, dangerous Tik Tok challenges that the morons who follow them take part in.

Have I mentioned this before? New construction, even in something far out like Marlborough needs to be 600k+/unit. Elevators are super expensive too. That's not going to help.

Not sure what the demo that would buy something like this (esp given the price) but they have gotten two sold so far.

Speaking of Marlborough, how about this one? They've been there only a year and put it back on the market. They just cut it to what they paid. I get the vibe that there's something wrong with the place and they are trying to unload... using the lowkey "Do Due Diligence" in the disclosure to try to get out of it.

Seller even got someone to bite but they backed out. Looked up the public record and unless I got it wrong it was a 100% VA Loan so I'm guessing they can't cut any further.

He's a CSO and isn't in the lab developing treatments and running experiments. CSO's are way beyond benchwork and are in management developing strategy for the company based on scientific knowledge.

In this case, he has a BS in Biology from Emory, an MBA from BU, and a PhD in molecular parasitology from NYU.
