How bad of a commute would it be to travel from Easton to Hingham? Best route...123 N to Rt. 18 N? 123 N to Rt. 24N to 93? 123N to 228? What is best/worst way? I've heard bad things about 24, but what are people's opinions here?
24 is awful. Up until last August, I did the commute from the Taunton area to Hingham regularly. Between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM northbound and 3:30 PM to 6 PM southbound, 24 is backed up, slow, and it can be scary. Sometimes I'd leave at 7:15 and not get to Hingham until 8:45 taking the highway, so I learned the backroads and I could generally get from Taunton to Hingham in under 55 minutes. So, my recommendation is to get off 24 as soon as possible or not take it at all.
