I want to move to a state like MA for a variety of reasons, but one of them is so that right is available to me if I end up needing it.

During the summer, I live in upstate NY about 2 hrs from Williamstown, MA. Unlike NY, in MA I noticed the rainbow flag was visibly featured on homes and/or businesses whenever I’d drive into a town (North Adams, Williamstown). But when driving thru the rural areas outside of town, I didn’t see it.
North Adams has Mass MoCA and is very close to Williamstown, and thanks to Williams College Williamstown has the highest concentration of gender/whiteness/african/que*r studies quadruple majors in all of the US thus rainbow flags make a whole lot of sense. Same goes for Northampton and to a lesser extent Amherst, but take any non-college, non-yuppie-Berkshire-enclave town or city in Western Mass and you won’t see many.

When I went to Boulder, CO a couple of months ago I saw pride flags everywhere in the downtown. I even saw them out in the rural towns in the mountains. I was shocked by this because you don't see them around here in Oklahoma. Not even in Tulsa city (although I don't go into the city much).

Price can be a number of things. Waving a US flag isn't that big of a deal for the most part in the US. I know people in China however that would *never* have their countries flag waving at their house.

Not to mention the willingness and eagerness to strip women of rights says a lot about how that state administration values women and our personhood in general.
