That could’ve taken a turn for the worse, but it sounds like she’s not equipped to handle driving anymore. The sister is likely embarrassed and wouldn’t have wanted to make that decision.

To be honest I have seen some pedestrian paved areas that could accommodate a car then I recall one funny incident in college but they really are not meant for that. If you think that is bad think about what life is like as a trucker. Oftentimes GPS tells you how to get there but they don't exactly specifically say where the loading dock is. Turning around a big rig because there's right turn on me and left turn only and having the inability of actually turning and let alone backing up is not easy

OMG... I have seen more that one news story with an older driver breaking suddenly through a storefront when they are parked in front and later step on the gas pedal when meaning to step on the brake. But this wasn't sudden like that - this lady piloted the car slowly into the mall and just didn't seem to know where she was. At least they are taking her license and no one got hurt.
