You should have received back about 14% of state income taxes paid. Property taxes are city/town based.

Agreed - I am not complaining! :-)

Dec 15 is supposed to be the last of distributing the refund.
I called the 62F Refund Call Center today, and was told my case has not been processed yet.

It does seem that this is taxable income. Not sure what box it goes into yet.

Where did you hear this? I imagine it would fall under the state and local tax refunds (for those who had itemized that year), just not sure if it would be for 2021 or 2022. For 2022, just enter whatever amount is on your 1099-G.

The instructions on the 1099-G for Box 2 seem to say the same as how it was described from this post a couple of months ago: https://www.city-data.com/forum/64472518-post78.html

Do you receive 1099-G from the state like others forms?

I just did that part of my taxes for next year. It is definitely taxable if you itemized for 2021 but not if you took the standard deduction.
