I got some beautiful *local* strawberries today over at Cider Hill Farm, so if people like pick-your-own, or just farm stand strawberries, the tap of strawberry goodness is now open.
Very comforting! Where is Cider Hill Farm? Too lazy to look it up.
How long is the Strawberry Season in our area?
Cider Hill Farm is a beautiful farm with all kinds of produce on the north side of Amesbury. I believe the strawberry season basically goes until the cool weather around Labor Day? https://www.ciderhill.com/
Mind you, it's a good deal cheaper to buy strawberries at the supermarket, but I like doing pick your own and the taste is fantastic as well - every strawberry you pick is at perfect ripeness. :-)
The oatmeal-strawberry bars were easy to make - I am only mildly into cooking, and I already had everything to make them, and they taste very nice and are fairly healthy as desserts go. https://www.wellplated.com/strawberry-oatmeal-bars/

We picked our own strawberries once on a hot sunny day and it was torture. Couldn't bring the wagon because the terrain was too tough. Had to carry our toddler on the long walk cause he didn't want to walk. Baked in the hot sun and had to carry the heavy box of strawberries back. I recommend going on a cool day.

They have big grounds at Cider Hill Farm and the strawberries are at the farthest point from the parking lot - you can't even see it from the farm store - it's down the road and over the hill, but, they have a tractor pulling a wagon with benches and hay bales that acts like a shuttle to take people back and forth. This ensures survival :-).

I just discovered that there's such a thing as a white strawberry. Does anyone know if New England growers cultivate these and if they are for sale anywhere?

I saw Korean strawberries at Hmart. It was $20 for 11.6oz. They were red though.
