Hello,

I am from out of town and am looking for any information on parks in the Billerica area. My grandson is 1 so all I am really looking for are swings for him, a sandbox or something he can play in and of course running around room. My daughter just moved to Billerica so I thought I would help her look into it. I am going to visit this weekend so any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

Default Parks

Check out the park across from the prison on Treble Cove - the Vietnam Veteran's Park. There are usually guys flying their remote-controlled planes which might be fun for him to watch, and there's a big rock query, access to the small pond (Winnings Pond) if you have a kayak or have dogs, kids fishing, a smaller and a larger playground (I think a sandbox?), soccer fields, woods, and lots of space. We always drove by this park and had no idea it how large it was and that it went all the way back.

Cool Great Brook Farm State Park in Carlisle

I would recommend Great Brook Farm State Park in Carlisle, lots of neat trails and a home-made ice cream stand in the summer time.
(not sure if its open yet)

Stop at Fern's Country store on the way or after.

Hope this helps :-)

there's also in Bedford ...at the beginning of the Minuteman Rail Trail there's
another trail right across Loomis St. from the Parking area another trail (next to the pizza /sub shop)
That goes north, into North Bedford, and Billerica

(Narrow Gauge Rail Trail)

Hope this helps

Sincerely,
