I have been doing pretty extensive research online for a 1 bedroom apartment in Framingham, Natick, Newton, Marlboro, and in that general area and it seems I can't find a decent place. I looked at Archstone and Avalon properties but paying $2,000/month for a 1 bedroom apartment is throwing away money in my opinion. Does anyone nice of a nice complex in this area that has a gym, covered parking, and washer/dryer in the units? I still find it hard to believe nice places for under $1,600/month don't exist in this area.

Have you looked on Craigslist? I looked for maybe 2 seconds and found this: Loft Style - High Ceiling - Eat In Kitchen - Inlcudes Ht/Hw/Parking (http://boston.craigslist.org/bmw/nfb/747275721.html - broken link)

Have you looked at Heritage at Bedford Springs or Avalon at Bedford Center or the Avalon at Lexington Hills. All have W/D in units and all are new complexes with the amenities that believe you are looking for.

Have you checked out the apts on Rt 135 across from the west Natick train? There are several complexes there, the name escapes me at the moment but I thought they were pretty reasonably priced. I don't recall if the parking was covered though.

Also, have you considered renting a single-family home? You might find a deal on a smaller home w/garage for rent.

I thought about that. I actually work 1 mile from the W. Natick T Station. I think you're thinking of Kendall Crossing and some other complexes down there. They seem pretty decent. I would prefer a place with covered parking and a gym though.
