It just doesn't have that summer breeze from the ocean that towns near the ocean have. I have lived in both areas. OTH, if you go up to say, Reading, somehow I find it is pretty good.

That's how I feel about June...I know what's coming I had asked my question because I needed to know how soon it cools off to have something to look foward to. I'm good I guess from September until July. Not bad

when August comes, it starts out cold, then warms up, sept the same, it also gets darker sooner, when August sets it. Then it late Sept, Oct., or Nov, we get the Indian
summer when summer returns, figure that one out! I have seen some days hot in early Dec in Boston, not to many! I also have seen snow into May and starting in eary October.

The Californian version of Indian Summer is what we call the Santa Ana's. These are dry warm winds that tend to cause the worst fires in Ca. I remember always being so hot when school would start again but we would be wearing the new, warm fall back to school clothes. Halloween is always really warm too. Indian summer is definitely an east coast name. My parents who are from NY use to describe Santa Ana's as an Indian Summer.
