I'm picking up my step-daughter at Logan at 11pm tonight and heading to the Natick area. Are there any restaurants open that late where they could get a bite to eat after their long flight? Everything around here seems to close their kitchens fairly early.
Yup.... Just stop at Chinatown... they're open til 3-4am. Street parking should be available by then... just don't park at the resident parking streets.
Yes... but everything closes at 11pm at the latest in the sleepy burbs.... McDonald in Framingham is open 24hrs with drive through only... You may be able to get a couple of 24hr Dunkin donuts along the way.
Trust me... Chinatown is your best bet for good food at a low price at those hours. Parking is fairly easy on Kneeland Street.
One option is to find a IHOP... Don't even know where they are any more.
For what it's worth, IHOP in Brighton is open 24 hours. It's on Soldiers Field Rd. Just take the Pike to the Allston Exit and take the Cambridge (right) fork on the ramp. Make the first left onto Storrow Dr./Soldiers Field Rd heading away from the city and it's a couple of miles down on the left. Parking lot there. It's on the main road along the river, not in the middle of a city neighborhood.
To get back to Natick, just continue away from the city on Soldiers Field Rd, follow signs for Newton (not Route 20-Watertown), and you bear left onto Charlesbank Rd. a little past the skating rink. Go up the hill and follow the road to the left, and you'll be deposited right back near the Newton interchange for the Pike (Exit 17). Follow the signs for the Pike Westbound. (it involves crossing back over the Pike and bearing left)
There used to be a Bickford's in Woburn or Waltham (I forget which) that was open 24 hours. You could also try going into Harvard Sq and go to the Hong Kong or the IHOP.
Or as suggested Chinatown is always open for cheap food and cold tea if your daughter needs a drink after the long flight
LOL...thing about this thread it was the same way almost 34 years ago, went to school, in Franklin at Dean and there were no late night places then either.Coming from NJ were there was a diner in almost every town was very hard to get use to.
