I am in my early 20's single and just got a great job in Framingham. I am relocating from upstate new York and have no idea where to live. Really no idea at all. I want to be close enough to Boston that I can have fun on weekends preferably taking the train and have a relatively short work commute under 30 minutes. I'd like to never see a suburb or countryside again (if u grew up in upstate by youd understand) so an apartment under 1000 would be ideal. Any and all ideas for a place to live would be amazing thanks.

Exclamation apartments

Sorry man you probably aren't going to find much under $1000 in Boston, unless its run down, in a dangerous area, or a very small studio.

If you can afford $100-1500/month I would highly suggest it
as the apartments are better.

Cool Apartment

Tho I did find this listing on craigslist. keep in mind it is a small studio
in Waltham

Studio 2 Room (http://boston.craigslist.org/bmw/fee/1122984334.html - broken link)

Wouldn't be a too bad reverse commute to Framingham Via the Mass Pike---

2 Room Studio

Check (Craigslist) but the average apartment cost is around $1200-1500/month
for the better non studio apartments

Cool Waltham

From that location you'd be within walking distance of the commuter rail to Boston and a short commute to Framigham Reverse traffic
you could also hop on several busses in Waltham Center to various points in Boston
You'd be right on the mass pike and close to 128 as well, also even route 2

Waltham isn't a small country suburb, its more of an urban feel so I think you'd like it. Plenty of services nearby and downtown
You would be within walking distance of the center of Waltham Square area

Jeff, thanks so much for the help so far, yes 1000 was a little bit of an undershot and i could probably go up to 1200 i was just being cheap there, and yes im looking for something with more of an urban younger feel to it and ideally walking distance to a local bar and other entertainment also kind of random but my two current hobbies are mountain biking and rugby how easy would it be to pursue either of these in that area, (im new to rugby so either a D2 or D3 club is my speed)? again thanks for the help
