To come closer to our offices, me and my wife are planning to move to Natick this June/July and rent an apartment/condo. We have shortlisted some apartments/condos, but not sure which one we should go ahead with. Here's our list:
- Bayberry Hill Estates
- Georgetown Granada Apartments
- Jeffersons Terrace
- Jeffersons Village
- Natick Village
- Natick Green
- Deerfield Forest
Most of them have a mixed bag of reviews (like always)...
It'd be great if anyone could help us out with their insights/experiences/reviews on any of these properties.
I have heard about Cloverleaf Apartments too, I guess it's on the higher side...
My husband used to rent at Deerfield and it was quite nice and well maintained. My impression was that it was the newer and nicer group of apartments in that area compared with Natick Village and Natick Green. I'm not familiar with the other ones. Are those all along Rt 9?
We looked at a few apartments in Natick Village and Natick Green before settling on a place in Marlborough. We weren't really impressed with any of the apartments there. They all seemed outdated, and very expensive for what they were. Also, natick green is all electric heat.
Good point Brent. Anidude, where will you be commuting to? Perhaps folks on the board can make recommendations on other nearby places that would be good rental options. For ex, Avalon Communities in Westboro is newer and nice but I'm not sure if that would be too far from your work.
We are actually looking at something that is close to the Natick Mall/Sherwood Plaza... (a 1bed around 1300 a month) were thinking something along the Route 9 would actually work just great!
Bayberry Hills, Georgetown Granada are on Rt9 and quite close to Sherwood Plaza.
Jefferson Village, Terrace, and Hills apartment complexes are also on Rt9 within a 5 mile radius (which is convenient as well).
Those do seem like good options commuting-wise. You might also want to ask the local police dept for stats about criminal activity in various complexes. I'm not aware of issues at those places but it's just something to check while you're comparing rentals, and most police departments do track these kinds of stats. I don't think they're allowed to give an opinion about whether an area is safe or not but the incident stats are public information and can be shared.
