Hi, this may have been addressed in another post, but does anyone know about bus service from the mid-Cape to Boston during the week? I'll be visiting Cape Cod next week and would like to go to Boston for the day. Is it very expensive, convenient, etc.? Thanks.

You can get the bus to Boston from Hyannis, P & B - Schedules.

Thank you Casey B. Do you know if it's good service? Fast, reliable, etc.? Thanks.

I've never taken it, myself. My mother-in-law used to when she wanted to get to the airport. She never had any complaints about it (rare for her, lol).

Maybe another member here has had direct experience and will share it.

I took it once. It was pleasant enough, but very slow. It should be faster mid-week off season, just because there won't be as much traffic as when I went.

My wife and I use the bus anytime we wish to go to Logan Airport. Prior to going to Logan it stops in the central bus station in Boston. Never get off at that stop, so don't even know where it is!

We've found that the bus is the only way to go as far as convenience and comfort goes when traveling to Logan. When my wife travels to Germany (at least once a year) I take her to the bus and off she goes! Much better, for her and me, when going into Boston.

It's a two hour ride to Boston from the Park and Ride in Hyannis (Exit 6, Route 6, by the McDonald's and Mobil Station there).

Recommend it highly.

I've used it numerous times as well for traveling to and from Logan. The station it stops in is South Station. That is where you'd get off to transfer to other bus companies for other locations, ergo, NH, Maine, NY, etc....

Round trip to/from Logan is $41 if you buy the round trip ticket... last I knew anyway... very comfortable, reliable, non-stressful way to commute in and out of the city.
