This may seem like a weird topic but I wanted to know if anyone else hates the climate in Eastern NE. It seems during the winter we get the less snow, then once spring rolls around Western Mass is basking in 70's while we are trapped in mid to lower 60's. Heck, Northern Vermont gets warmer than us in the spring. Not to forget how miserable this April was when we were permanently stuck in the lower to mid 50's while Western Mass was in the mid to upper 60's. Again, this is probably going to seem like a weird thing to bring up but I was wondering how other people felt about it. BTW, I'm just complaining about the climate of Eastern NE, when it comes to general NE I think it is hilarious how we can go from 90 degrees one day to flirting with the freezing mark the next!

I must admit, I start worrying about heat and humidity in April. I loathe humidity, and feel like it gets more humid in N.E. (eastern Mass.) every year. It seems the summers aren't that hot- they are sticky, grey and humid more than anything.
So, no, I don't mind a cold spring or whatever. Anything but humidity. Crudely put, if dog poop doesn't dry out in a few hours, it's too humid.

It's ALWAYS raining in Western Mass. Except when it's snowing. Basking in 70-degree weather is very rare. The weather all over New England is crappy, it's not exclusive to the eastern half.

The spring does come earlier in some areas but the anticipation of September and October in Eastern MA is worth the pea soup weather we get in the spring.

I'm enjoying the long, cool spring this year. Last year it poured but this year the weather has been enjoyable. It's not too hot to be outdoors doing things. I dread the hot, humid summer and it will come. Then we'll be pining away for weather like this.

I left the Cape nine years ago for sunny Arizona. I just couldn't take the endless gray and rainy weather. My only regret is that my allergies are worse now - and they're with me year-round, too.

I'm not going to complain about the weather, there is nothing to be done for it. Wait a while, as they say, and it will change.

Sure we are sunny and warm in the Berkshires now, and eastern mass has the ocean effect of fog and cold humid air. But come the fall, the eastern half of the state will be milder, far milder, than the Berkshires, and we will have snow while it is still rain in Boston in November and December.

I've been loving the mild temps so far this spring. Not looking forward to the humid summer.
