Yes, CaseyB...sorry...I meant Noisy Hole Road. (Cotuit Meadows Subdivision) It's listed as in Barnstable. Noisy Hole Road is the split between the towns, per builders. Not familiar with the difference between Cotuit or Santuit?? Can you explain?

Capecodcathy....Second the Mashpee traffic. I'm living off 28 on the Barnstable end temporarily until I can get back to Bourne in September. While I love the convenience of Mashpee Commons, I find that there are gangs of 10 and 20 kids roaming at dusk and after. I think Mashpee got a little overzealous with building out and is experiencing growing pains.
Barnstable is nice, stay away from Hyannis.
Capecodcathy.....it sounds like you're living right around where this subdivision is located in Barnstable?? I see you're listed as a realtor as well....so you must know some ins and outs. The other area we looked at was about a mile down Great Neck Road North from Mashpee Commons and off Lowell Road. Are you familiar with either of these locations? Bayside Building is the developer. When you mentioned about the gangs of kids....were they just looking for something to do.....or were they out looking for trouble We're not!! lol

Any other info either negative or positive about the areas would be greatly appreciated from anyone. Thanks to everyone.

There are some lovely subdivisions off Old Barnstable Road and Great Neck North. Hint: Old Barnstable Road is a nifty way of avoiding the rotary and Mashpee Commons main entrances. Take a left at the "Southport" sign off 151 and follow Old Barnstable Rd right to Great Neck North. You probably also noticed the back entrance to Super Stop & Shop off Great Neck North.

Mashpee Commons is rather like any other mall where kids will congregate. I haven't heard of any "trouble" and see a police presence in there regularly.

Bayside Builders is a very respected builder of custom homes. Cotuit Meadows is definately in keeping with the style and attention to detail that Bayside built homes are known for but the location is a tough one.

Mashpee Commons is not a magnet for hellions. I think the developeers purposely kept out the trendy teen stores to prevent this. You definately see kids there but I've never seen so many that I felt uncomfortable as I sometimes do in traditional malls.

Like Hyannis, Mashpee has a reputation as being a bit rough around the edges in some parts but isn't that everywhere?
