I am trying to relocate from NJ to Western Mass and may have an opportunity for a new construction in Monson. Can anyone give me information, reviews, etc on the town? The net seems to have little info and the Census is way too outdated.

Thanks

There's some statistics on our home page: //www.city-data.com/city/Monson-Massachusetts.html

Other threads that mention Monson are listed there, too.

Mostly, there's just nothing there and it's in the middle of nowhere. Not close to anything. I like rural living, but not there.

It's like 20 minutes from Sturbridge, another 20 to Worcester. I'd imagine it's like a half hour or so to Springfield.

It's a small town in a very rural area. Not much but quiet, if that's your sort of thing.

Quiet 'bedroom community' very nice, NOT REDNECK like to racist said. 30 minutes from Springfield, 20 to Sturbridge, 45 to hartford, 8 minutes to the Mass pike, 1hr 15 minutes to Boston {limits} GREAT place to raise a family....a little quiet to be new and single, nice little home town bars, typical small town New England town......Summer Fest Fair, strong community feel....check out the town of Monson's web site.....heavy police presence good/bad VERY low crime, lots of traffic tickets....but speed limits are USUALLY for a good reason. Please feel free to email me if you want more info....from 'the average joe'
