My guess is Ted would be proud that the people of Mass went to the polls in the numbers they did, and voted with thier brains, rather than follow party lines.

Proud, yes.

Disappointed, absolutely.

There's a fine line between being happy about voter turnout and being happy that voter turnout didn't vote for your party.

Brown will be a very liberal Republican, who just so happened to oppose this healthcare bill. He'll do a fine job representing our state. Even though I voted for Coakley, I'm not disappointed, but instead quite optimistic. I'm sure Teddy is as well.

It was because of Ted Kennedy that we had a election in the first place. It was his intervention that got the Mass house & senate to change the rules allowing the Gov to pick the replacement when it appeared that John Kerry may win the presidential election of 2004. He outsmarted himself.
