What are the planning difficulties? Finding sites, etc because they are booked or just the whole overwhelming experience and where to begin? Either way, I would suggest a wedding planner. I do not know any specifically in the area but a quick call to a local venue or florist (Beautiful Things comes to mind) can point you in the right direction.

Not sure what exactly the difficulties are that you're experiencing, but given that October is a SUPER-popular month for weddings, and that Salem is like Mardi Gras for Halloween, I'm thinking you're probably going to find that things are either booked or ridiculously expensive. Wish I had some advice for you!

We're coincidentally also planning a Halloween wedding and are unsure about location. A long time ago when we were in the infant stages of planning, we inquired about a ship that has nothing to do with witches or anything spooky and just happened to be in Salem, completely forgetting that Salem is a mess at Halloween. I just cared about the ship, not the town it was in! We were basically laughed at.

I really don't mean to kill any dreams, but my advice is to stay away from Salem...It will likely cause more headaches than it's worth. If you're really set on it, I wish you the best of luck and hope you find what you need.

If you want to be married in the Salem area, you may want to think about Marblehead. Beautiful, quaint location and a hop, skip and a jump to Salem so you can join in the Halloween Festivities.

Years and years later will you want to look back at your old wedding photos and comment on how scary your wife looked?

Maybe you could close the final chapter by lying in coffins side-by-side, wearing vampire costumes respective to gender, and on the count of three, stabbing each other in the heart with wooden stakes.
