Default commute

Sorry to say - a commute from Plymouth to Brockton would be hellacious. The problem is that any commute from the south shore (where Plymouth is) to the west (where Brockton is) doesn't have a major highway connecting them. In your case, you'd need to take Route 44 (a slow 2 laner) to Route 495 to Route 24. You'll probably see something like 40 minutes if you were to mapquest it, but in reality it would take quite a deal longer.

I go from East Sandwich (at the West Barnstable line) to Easton every 5 weeks for a salon appt so take this for what it's worth.

I generally schedule my appts for 9:00 so it is a "rush hour" commute. It takes me about 1 hour (10-20 minutes of that is to get to the Bourne Bridge) - I get off on the 123 exit for Brockton/Easton. I usually take 6A to 25/495 to 24. I've also come back via 44 to 3 to shop and I do not find doing that adds an inordinate amount of time to my commute.

Hope that helps.
