Hi all:

We're new to the area and do not know all the towns so well yet. I'm looking for a nice neighborhood that is a 30-45 minute commute to Woburn. We would like to spend around 250-300k on our home, we would like some privacy a nice yard, low crime, and good schools for our little ones. Any thoughts? Thanks

You may want to up your price range a bit for a house... Houses in that price range in the Woburn area ie Stoneham, Reading, Wakefield, Burlington all nice towns would need alot of work. @ 325 you could probably find more move in condition type homes. Good luck in your search.

We live in Methuen and both my husband and myself commute to Woburn. It's about 20-25 minutes. Methuen is decent- you can definitely find a nice quiet house in that price range. It's a city though, and with any city there are some sketchy areas. Have no idea about the quality of schools though...I've heard they aren't bad.
