Mobile Food Vendors on Maui? (Kihei: neighborhood, beach, land)

Are there a lot of these on Maui? Like hot dog carts, or taco stands or whatever.

There's only a couple in south Maui. There's taco and shave ice vendors down around Big Beach. And a Shave Ice truck came around while I was snorkeling last weekend off the hono a pi`ilani hwy. There might be a few others scattered about in areas I don't frequent often.

There are a couple in West Maui: shave ice, tacos, fruit/smoothie stand. I hear the licensing process is pretty rigorous.

There's a new one with personal pizzas cooked in a keawe fired oven! He's at Azeka Plaza, Makai side, on Tuesdays & Fridays. He is in other locations around Maui the other days, and plans to be at all the festivals.

There's a steak plate stand at Times Market on some days, but it is either a fund raising benefit or maybe now run by Times, I can't tell.

We have recently had an ice cream truck coming into the neighborhood in Kihei.

Also saw the fish tacos & smoothies truck(s) in South Maui, on the way to Big Beach.

Vendors aren't allowed in the beach park parking lots. They can't sell on county or state land either, like the beaches.
