I am wanting to travel to Maui this Spring for 4-6 weeks. Anyone have any ideas for nice, affordable accomodations?

Depends - maui is both big and small depending what you're looking to do. Are you a surfer? Mountain climber? Hotel pool roach? Some feedback would be good and we can give you some ideas.

I did a LOT of research on Kihei when I went and found the best rates... but that's moot if you want to be in Lahaina.

I went on a one week trip last year in January, stayed at Aston Kaanapali Shores if I remember correct. It was pretty cheap, considering that it had a full kitchen, which saved us some money on meals and it's right on the beach. Although for my next trip to Hawaii I'll consider renting from a owner, the website is vrbo.com, they have pretty nice deals over there. Good luck in your search and let us know how your trip goes.
