Ok, I thought I posted this a few days ago, but it's gone so maybe it never went up. If I'm repeating myself, I'm sorry!

We are leaving friday for our honeymoon and will be spending 4 full days in Maui. Need suggestions of what to do! Tours we should take, or hikes to do, places to drive to, beaches to see, etc. We'll probably do a sunset cruise, so rec's for which one to take? Also, dining recommendations would be great! If it helps, we are in our early 30's. Thanks so much!

We're staying at the Westin Resort, but we will have a car.

Snorkeling tours - Pacific Whale Foundation is a great organization to support. Otherwise look for boats that serve you a good hot lunch, like grilled chicken. Much better than cold sandwiches.

Zip lines are supposed to be awesome; never been on one myself but visitor friends think they are great.

I'm mostly familiar with Kihei/Wailea/Makena area.
Cafe O'Lei has very good food, but is a bit noisy.
Sansei for Japanese, they also have one up your way.
Must try shave ice, with ice cream in the bottom.
Please try some local food, like a plate lunch. Da Kitchen in Kihei is a good option for this.

Drive over to Paia for lunch, go on past it to Ho'okipa to see the wind surfers and dramatic waves.

If you like car trips and wineries, drive upcountry to Ulupalakua and visit the winery up there. There's a deli just before, you can buy sandwiches and picnic at the winery.

Rent snorkel gear from the dive shops, it's much cheaper than renting from the resorts. Same with most gear. Rent stand up paddle boards for a good workout. You can find trucks renting the boards alongside the roads.

If you hike up on Haleakala (the volcano), take water and remember you have to get back too. Clouds or vog can come in fast and obscure your sightlines, so don't go off trail. It gets very cold up there at 10K feet at night, you don't want to be stuck trying to find the way back to your car. No cell phone signal either.
