YouTube should have the right to ban anyone for any reason.

I don't know which is richer, righties demanding the government tell private businesses whom they should allow on their platforms or lefties defending the right of corporations to do whatever they wish without government interference.

YouTube has and should have the right to exclude whomever it wishes from its platform but they do themselves harm and they do the public good harm through these actions. They certainly do not uphold the ideals of free speech. Neither do these forums, for that matter, which would be immeasurably better without the schoolmarms policing them. Adults should be able to deal with speech they don't like on their own. The best Internet forums have no moderators. (Recognizing that one of the schoolmarms will probably strike this part.)

WHO is coming for ANYONE??????

There was a time when YT didn't monetize anyone. They still don't monetize most video makers. Why is that making you paranoid?

As for those memes - who cares? things like that are a dime for several dozen. As anyone active on the internet knows.

I support the right for people to be racists and bigots if they so insist upon it. But if a private entity pulls material like this, is it considered censorship?

They removed constitutionalist content, and publishers.

You answered your own question.

You do not have "freedom of speech" on a private web site.

So, if a bakery..a private company, decides to "censor all they want" a certain segment of the population, they can do so because the bakery is "privately owned"?

By the same token, selectively prohibiting speech based upon opinions you don't like does not uphold the ideals of free speech.

If you ran YouTube, would you ban Steven Crowder? Would you ban Louis Farrakhan?
