Yep, totally understandable. Intelligent people get their news from a variety of sources and form an opinion based on data from a number of angles. More, er, cognitively challenged individuals are quite happy to sit on their big fat ass and have someone tell them what to think and do.

I wonder if there is also a correlation between cable cutters and their political leanings? I for one realized more than 10 years ago that TV programming was just that, crappy advertising interspersed with occasional programming for those who prefer not to think.

They just spent two and a half years telling their constituency everyday that Trump colluded with Russians and impeachment was imminent.

Of course a few people have woken up and tuned out.

I suspect thought that they have a basement made of useful idiots.
