That is why Hillary Clinton and the Obama's were always scowling....having to put up w/ little people is so beneath them.
They are all jealous of the way the more accomplished dictators can just oft anyone they dislike. They don't hide it very well either.
Mayer and other liberal comedians such as Sarah Silverman are in a tough spot. They are liberal comedians who make a living making social commentary that can be quite cutting edge. Feelings are bound to be hurt in their acts and in the process they can injure the onion thin skin of their own party members. As a result, they get cancelled and their careers are ruined. They are in a no win situation.
Comedians such as Maher and Chappelle, when faced with the tough decision of siding with their political party or their occupation, chose their occupation. They are not afraid to give the finger to cancel culture in order to continue to work and honor their industry.
In my opinion, they’ve made the right call and frankly, the left deserves the finger!!!
It's surprising how impressive it seems to be when people do this now, when it's really just being honest and standing up for yourself and basic freedom of speech. It's so disappointing (and irritating) when someone states an opinion and then shows up the next day apologizing for it. Of course, it is easier to stand up when you're very established and wealthy. I just wish everyone would do it and stop giving power to these tyrants.
Remember, the media is owned and controlled by the wealthy elite, so what you are seeing is what they want to happen.

Bill Maher has always been a contrarian. He got fired from his ABC show back in the day for daring to claim after 9/11 that we may bear some responsibility for the attack with out interventionist policies in that region over the previous decades. At that time it was borderline treasonous to say something like that.
That being said he hates the GOP and MAGA as much as ever. He is not going to get cancelled over his push back against the radical left. Most on the left probably agree with him.

Um, Trump is a wealthy elite himself and certainly helped out that class in his term.
He dared go against the club, it's why they are throwing everything they can at him. Same with Elon Musk. He played along with their BS, but as soon as he got out on top, he pulled the rug out from under them and they don't like it one bit. This is what happened with the Kennedy's. They tried to use their money and influence for good and they were taken out because of it.

Media ratings are going to plummet when the Pubs regain control of the House, & maybe the Senate.
The Libs will be so emotionallly distraught that they will not be able to tune in to the media to hear & see the carnage.
And, only 8% of Pubs believe in anything the media reports, so no help there, & no Trump to boost ratings either.
The media might start donating big money to the Trump campaign to entice him to run, so the media can improve ratings.
