Does anyone know of any apartment complexes or lower to mid range priced places near Memphis that would allow me to keep my large dog? He's about 55 pounds. I'm going to be attending the University of Memphis so something within 20-30 minutes of the university is required. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

A lot of places will let you have pets, particularly in Midtown. Try Revid Realty, Midtown Apartments, or look in the Flyer (Memphis Flyer). The Commercial Appeal is pretty useless I've found, but that's just me. Also, some of the apartments right by campus (Campus View, maybe?) let people have dogs. That area is not the best, but they are pretty decent apartments.

The Comical Appeal useless? Naw...surely you could line a bird cage with it. Heehee.

I know when we lived over by UofM that some of the apartments allowed big dogs. There was a lady that lived at the Highland Oaks Apartments (Highland & Walker) who had two St. Bernards -- I think she lived upstairs.

Kirby Station on Kirby Pkwy... the rent is anywhere from $700 and up, and I think the pet fee for 1 dog is around $20/month. It is a quiet complex.
