Okay so here is the deal. I want to become an accountant and my girlfreind wants to become and elementary school teacher. We would to love to Collierville, Tennessee and get our dream jobs.
-I would love to have details on these jobs in collierville

We plan on moving to Collierville in about 2 years from now and can't wait!
-So also if you have any details on the jobs within the next 2 years would be great!

We also plan to go to Collierville in Summer of 2011
-Any great places we could visit when we go would be greatly appreciated!!

We also want to build our dream home in collierville but we will buy a starter home and then build
-So how much is it usually to buy some land in Collierville

We would like our house to be anywhere between 2500 sq ft- 4000 sq ft.
-This house will be the house we raise our 4 plus kids in and stay in it for the rest of our lives.

Also any other details you could give me about Collierville would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thank you and all have a blessed day!

Being an accountant will most likely require being hired on by a business somewhere. I don't think there will be many opportunities for this in Germantown or Collierville (not 100% sure). You would likely end up working in Memphis and you could still live in Collierville.
From what I have heard, being a teacher requires getting your start somewhere small like a school in Fayette County or maybe starting at a less desireable school in Memphis. I imagine it is pretty hard to start out in Collierville or Germantown schools without experience. I'm not saying it isn't possible.
Are you planning on getting married soon?

You didn't mention where you are from, but I'm assuming you're from Virginia Beach, VA since that's the zip you listed? What made you choose Collierville?
There isn't too much to see in Collierville. There is a large outdoor mall and a historic town square that is popular. Collierville has excellent parks for children and families.

If I were you, I would look at Trulia.com or Zillow.com and look at house prices. Those websites will have pictures and comparable prices so you can get an idea of how expensive Collierville is. Just type in 38017 zip code in the search. Anywhere in Collierville is a good area, but I would stay away from the area around the Town Square. Houses in Cordova, Bartlett, Lakeland, etc may give you more for your money and be just as enjoyable. Good luck to you!

Wow, strangest post I've seen. I love Collierville, but don't really see it as a place to make all of my dreams come true. More like; we need to be in Memphis area because of a great job opportunity, and Collierville is the best place for me to raise my family.

I wonder why you see it as your future utopia.

odd
True. I have lived in Collierville, Germantown, Memphis, Cordova, and other nearby cities. There were some neighborhoods I enjoyed more than Collierville.

Thats exactly why we chose Collierville. It seems like a nice place to raise a family. Heres the deal, I have a friend who lives in Memphis and he's an accountant. He told me about some job opportunities that sounded great. We know for a fact that we want to move somewhere in Ten. but we just didn't know where. He knows that we hate living in the city, so he said look at Germantown and Collierville. Out of the two we really liked Collierville, so thats why when we are done with school, we will visit Collierville and also other places to see which one we like in person more, and most importantly if we can get good jobs, if we do we want to make the most of it.

I'm a big fan of Collierville (been here about 3 years now) so I say come on in! Of course the area is home to several international companies like FEDEX, Autozone, International Paper etc. Collierville has the FEDEX WorldTech HQ and there are other big operations in the immediate area without going into Memphis such as Nike, Carrier, and other FEDEX divisions. I'm sure all need accountants as well as the numerous smaller businesses. I can't help you with job leads but as others said Zillow is a good place to start for real estate if you aren't ready to work with a Realtor. Its still a buyers market here though maybe not as much as 6 months ago. Still plenty available though.
