I know that Collierville recently annexed part of their reserve area on the south side of town, but I heard a rumor that they were going to give the reserve area on the North side of wolf river "back to Memphis" citing it was too expensive to run public sewer across the river. Has anybody heard anything about this? I have tried looking it up on their city website, and have done numerous google searches but I cant find anything that says they are going to let go of this area.

This would be the area that is encompassed by Collierville-Arlington, Raliegh-Lagrange, and Houston Levee rd (wolf river is the fourth side).

I would think Collierville would just leave the area as unincorporated before they gave Memphis the ability to annex it.

It won't be given back to Memphis. I think you will see that they will annex more as soon as they are allowed to.

The only thing I've heard remotely similar to this is when Mayor Joyner said he was interested in reading the Norris-Todd bill that would allow citizens to vote on whether they want to be annexed. Mayor Joyner was reluctant to say whether Collierville would be interested in expanding beyond their reserve area. He wasn't talking about the reserve area they currently have.
