Six Meals In Memphis: More than Ribs and Peanut Butter & Banana sandwiches - thestar.com

"It’s the home of Elvis and southern BBQ, but there’s a lot more to eat here than peanut butter & banana sandwiches and slabs of succulent ribs. In fact, this list doesn’t contain a single palace of pork...."

The Peabody is Memphis’s signature hotel and the only place you should consider staying

Overrated. Stay at the Westin instead.

In general a good article though. I don't care much for Capriccio Grill, and haven't been to the lunch box place, but everything else on their is a must-go.

I agree about Capriccio, it's OK, but I think the author should have put Brother Juniper's for Saturday morning instead.

You probably say that about the Peabody because you've been there, done that, but I recall when we were thinking about moving here a few years ago, staying at the Peabody, experiencing the ducks for the first time, happy hour in the busy lobby, and being within walking distance to Beale Street and the whole Memphis vibe. (Of course Peabody Place and Interim were still open at the time). If someone has never experienced the Peabody it's pretty cool.

I agree, the Peabody is very cool, but as a hotel it isn't that great. Might as well just stay somewhere else and then go see the lobby, etc.
