I did not see this posted, but it, along with the new Lakeland winery, is a pretty cool development.

Memphis is under-served by micro-brews. What currently exists is one microbrew (Ghost River which also brews for Bosco's) and the former Coors plant. So two more basically would triple the anemic number. There seems to be a good atmosphere for beer festivals, and a market for mega beer selections like at the Flying Saucer. So hopefully these two breweries start a trend.

Nice. A buddy of mine was telling me about these. All I can say is it is about freakin time!

I'm pretty excited about Memphis Made. I've been to this guy's place in Asheville and it was excellent. Hope both of these places do very well. Thanks for the update!

It is odd that the Flying Saucer does not carry the one local brew.

I agree about Memphis being under-served by micro brews. This is great news. Hopefully this helps the craft scene take off.

Cheers for Tennessee beers!

Agreed. I wonder how independent each Saucer is? Maybe the fact that Ghost River started off as Bosco's means the leadership perceived the Saucer as competition... Which, imo, is silly. Hopefully the new ones get spread around quickly.
