Are there any park and rides on the south side of the city?

Plan to get a ride to NOLA with coworker who lives in Cordova (I live downtown) but I don't want to drive all the way to Cordova and back before and after this trip.

Is there anywhere I can park on the southern side of the city (even into MS) that will save me time and distance?

Thanks!

I don't know that MATA offers a park and ride structure. Why not just park at a WalMart in Southaven or something?

Or you could always park at the airport or surrounding lots for a fairly cheap daily rate.

Wondering if a Wal-Mart would notice my car for 3 days? My car sticks out more than the typical car - bright red, rare model.

Have your friend pick you up downtown, hop on Riverside, which turns in to 55, and you're instantly off toward New Orleans together. It's really not out of the way at all.

That is actually the plan now, just don't want to be a bother since I'm getting a free ride to NOLA! (and there will be 4 additional people in the car)
