Hello, Anyone familiar with West Memphis back in the late 40's to early 50's?

Looking for info on a old dirt strip or maybe an old dirt race track or maybe just a place you cold run your jalopy around.

Thanks for looking.

The only race track there in my memory is Riverside raceway - a 1/4 mile dirt oval that's been there since 1949.

Do you remember any Texaco signs being there? Have you been there? and what year.

Thanks for replying.

You may want to contact the WM city government. A few years ago for an exhibit they compiled a ton of old city photos. They're on display in the civic center / arena.
