Peabody Elementary is in Cooper-Young. Although they re-zoned it a year or two ago which added a wider area of poverty stricken neighborhoods

I worked for Memphis City Schools for 3 years - stay away from it if you can. You will be overworked and the students run amok - I've witnessed it all...parents drunk/high in the hallways, weapons found at school, teacher assualt, staff members cursing each other out during school hours, and this was all at an elementary school

I started to do some mentoring at BeltlineCommunityDevolementCenter last year when my business slowed down. I was shocked at the way these kids acted, I was called a Honky on every occasion I went. They just run amuck. And if you try to correct them they would always say" Don't touch me or I'll call the Po Po"..........Man I'm glad business picked back up, that place was depressing.
