I remember there was a sit down restaurant located next door to KFC on Elvis Presley Blvd just north of Graceland but can't remember the name of it.

Have you looked on Google maps? Look up the address of that KFC and then use Google maps street view to look around the area to see if you can see the name of the restaurant. Or you mean it's no longer there and you just need to know the name?

I'm thinking maybe Shoney's.

I did and I could only see it on a side street on the old footage (2007), in the 2014 footage there is no building next to KFC but there was a building next door to the KFC off of the 2007 footage of Google Maps.

China Buffet when it closed, but the building design looks like it may have been a Shoney's in a past life. Googling seems to confirm it was a Shoney's before China Buffet. I guess someone decided another parking lot was the best use of the space .
