I can't remember the racial stats at those two schools -- but if you are white, and Bartlett HS has a higher percentage of racial minorities than Arlington HS does, iirc, the Shelby County school system would consider letting you transfer (to help racial balance; due to court order) to Bartlett HS. (I did this when I was in high school in Jackson TN; there it was called a majority-to-minority transfer.)

You would have to provide your own transportation.

Call the Shelby County school system and clarify.

I'm sure you can look up your address online and figure out what school district you are zoned for.

Part of the area in Bartlett is zoned into to Bartlett HS, part goes to Bolton, and part goes to the new Arlington HS.

All of those are good schools and roughly equal in quality.
