Very sad to hear, Jackson is east of Memphis so the problems must have happened after I went to bed (or were not reported until later). I hope for a speedy recovery for the school.

Unhappy Your in my thoughts

I am so sorry to hear about the devastation and deaths in Tennessee. I have nothing but good things to say about the people in this forum and in the state. You all have been nothing but nice in real life and on the web. I hope all are as safe as they can be.

Tornado sirens went off nonstop from 5pm to about 10pm, but other than that...I honestly couldn't tell anything was wrong from my house. A few flashes of heavy rain and winds, and that was it. I think the suburbs took the brunt of the worse weather.

Hopefully everyone is okay; the drive in to work this morning was normal and I didn't see any damage in thecity.
I'm not sure if you typed this before seeing the news today or what but a tornado hit the hickory hill area and caused a building collapse that killed 3 people and injured 10 others. Most of the injured were rescued after a significant rescue effort by the Memphis Fire Dept. This happened yesterday evening during the first wave of severe weather. The same time that part of the roof was taken off of Hickory Ridge Mall by either the same tornado, a different tornado or high winds, not sure which.
