I just moved to Memphis a couple of days ago. I pretty much don't know anyone here. I moved from Savannah, GA where I only lived for a year. I was born and raised in San Diego. I love to dine out and go dancing. I'm a 29 yr old female and just want to experience the city. I don't mind going out alone, but thought it might be fun to meet some people that might want to go out in a little group.

Welcome to your new home! You’ll have to experience Beale St, Tunica (great buffets), Senses, Jillians, Mud Island, Pink Palace, and the Zoo (we have Pandas!). I like your idea and I’m in for the group outing. I’m a 32 yr old male who’s been living here 7.5 years though it feels like less. Wise choice with Midtown btw, seems that you did your homework. So what brings you to Memphis?

I do know 1 person, so he helped me with location. I will also be working for him. Savannah's job market is really bad, or at least the pay is. I had a hell of a time getting a job while there, even though I have a decent resume. I finally landed a contract job at Gulfstream Aerospace, which is THE place to work in Savannah. The pay is EXCELLENT, especially in that city. Problem was, I hated it. The people that worked around my cubicle were just miserable and it made for a crappy environment. I thought I should look elsewhere, and since I'm a bit adventurous, I decided to not go back to San Diego just yet.

Wow, I sure am long-winded....LOL

And you say this because you've lived here? Or you just like to spread your joy everywhere?

Are they from there originally?

No, he isn't. I don't remember where he said he grew up. He really liked Savannah, though.

I liked the city a lot too. The people on the other hand overall were really unfriendly.
