Folks - My laptop is being held hostage by Dell in their "Memphis Service Center". I can no longer bear speaking to customer support in Banagalore, India to find out what is going on with it. Does anyone local in Memphis know how I can talk to a live American in this facility that can tell me what the status of my machine is - good or bad?

Grd, My problem seems identical to yours. I sent my laptop to DELL at Memphis (via FEDEX) for warranty repair, and they cannot track it down. It was very frustrating and irritating to deal with the DELL tech support team from India. 202-213-8874 is my personal cell number, not the Dell repair center. Please do not call as I CANNOT HELP YOU! Best of luck tracking your computers down. When I had my computer repaired recently, it was sent to an old address, on the opposite side of the country. Ugh.

Did you ever find a number to the Dell repair Depot in Memphis? I tried the DC lady's cellphone #, didn't work. They now have my computer hostage. Did you get yours back? Any information will be helpful.

They still have it!? Call Dell and tell them they've had your laptop for MONTHS.

The repair depot is run by the contract manufacturing company Flextronics on Holmes Rd. Try looking them up vs. Dell.
