What happened to 93X? It's ESPN radio now. Are they moving to a different station?

93X was a poor excuse for an "alternative rock" station, but still I was surprised to see it disappear suddenly, apparnetly without a warning.

True, it wasn't great, but it was the only even moderately alternative station in the area. Pretty much now, there's only rap, top 40, oldies and country.

Is there a station that plays local bands now?

I got Sirius radio a long time ago....but found out about this the other day while in a friends car. Sad loss....if you can afford it I encourage Sirius Octane!!! Its everything that 93.X could have been and more.

From what I've heard they all got fired. Some of the local bands were trying to put together a benefit to help out the DJ's but I don't know if they're actually going to do it or not.
