LOL; what you drive around with a blindfold on? Never get off 240? (even that won't work). We're talking about living IN the memphis area. Ur funnie.

Incorrect, the original poster is talking about moving to Germantown or Bartlett. All very nice areas, somwhat outside of memphis proper. We are doing the original poster a disservice by exagerating the dangers (that probably is what earned you a negative rep, not by my I might add).
Lidebbie I think you will find housing cheaper than Dallas, no state income tax in TN (just like Texas).

If you like suburban sprawl, cookie cutter houses, big box retailers, 7-lane roads and strip malls, Olive Branch is the place for you.

Yeah but that's the definition of every suburb (actually Olive Branch is in dire need of more shopping - we have a WallMart and...that's it, see SouthHaven for that, and the closest real mall in Collierville). More relevant is this very important distinction - if you live in MS you pay state income tax. Very important factor.

Also, Mississippi has the most outrageously high vehicle registration fees in the country, or at least in the South. I remember paying hundreds of dollars PER YEAR for a beat-up old Subaru I had while living in Mississippi in the 90s.
