That mural you were talking about is the Hi Tone, I believe. It is the best place to listen to live music in Memphis. It is a very popular bar.

Thanks! I too, enjoyed your walk. Looking back, to when I lived on the east side, in the early 1950s, I made that same walk, many times, before I could drive it. But, it just, doesn't look the same from a car window.

a person would be nuts to walk through where you walked...unless fully armed

you were lucky indeed

NO sane RESIDENT of Memphis, TN would actually walk that far, period.....I would not advise a resident or a tourist to do such a thing ....ever

great pictures. for some reason one thing sticks out. whenever i see great urban renewal projects with not one single person on the street, not one, i get very nervous. what a beautiful place, why have the birds stopped singing?
